Hi Everyone,

I am new (sort of) to the board and to Dr. B. in general. I keep attempting to start and can't seem to get past the hunger stage and quit. I'm looking for some "local" buddies to go on this journey with me.

I think some of it is setting expectations.  You will be hungry for the first few days.  Once your body adapts and is in ketosis, the hunger wanes.  For some people, they never really feel hungry again.

Fill up on food that counts.  Don't use all of your veggie serving on lettuce, for example. It will be a ton of lettuce, but you still really won't feel full!

Drink your water and other allowable liquids.  It is normal to see a diet pop, a water bottle and a cup of decaf tea all on my desk at work at any one time! :)  Multi-tasking!!

good luck!

Thanks Tmom4! I think you're right about the expectations. I really can't to get on board with the restrictiveness of this diet yet. I want to. I really do. But...

Hi,
I'm from Ottawa, ON.  I just re-started on Friday.  I'm hungry right now and can't wait to get into Ketosis.  :bounce:
