Hmmm ... either I can't boil water, or I'm the only one who thought this stuff was not just bad: but revolting!  (Sorry!)
I am a big fan of regular, slow cooked oats & sometimes plain or peaches & cream instant oatmeal in a pinch - but I gagged on my sample of this gruel.
Hope the bars are better! : )

I love this flavor - I bought the big one from diet direct, and I have it quite often instead of eggs. I always add extra hot water,  then an apple. I microwave that, and I end up with a good 2+ cups of oatmeal w/ apple :D Its also used in the Apple Cobbler recipe in the cookbook - and that is really yummy too!!

Well I tried the Oatmeal, I thought is was just ok, and would rather have a bar....Its already 10am and I am hungry as with a Bar I am good until lunch. It reminded me a lot of instant oatmeal (like quaker) Since I bought a box next time I will try it with some apple

I like this quite a bit. I find it much more filling than a protein bar. Or rather... that the full feeling lasts longer. I make it really thick (barely any water) because that's how I have regular oatmeal... but the thing I've noticed, maybe it's just me, is that it tastes a little bit like raw cookie dough when it's around the same consistency as dough. Yum yum.

I was impressed with the texture, but I found it really sweet!!  I wish they had just a natural flavor of oatmeal.

I was pleasantly surprised by this product.  When I opened the package and poured it into the bowl, I thought that there was no way that this could turn into anything even remotely resembling oatmeal.  Anyway, I was wrong.  The smell is divine, the taste is pretty good, and I found it much more filling than the Wonderslim cold cereal.

I prefer the apple-cinnamon over this flavor, but this flavor is also very good.  If you make it up as proper oatmeal, it is pretty small and not real fulfilling.  I use these to add thickness and substance to shakes I make in the blender, and have also started adding a packet to my breakfast cereal in the morning (sounds strange, but you should try it if you're on maintenance and have cereal).

The maple flavoring in this can be particularly appealing if you are using it with something that goes well with maple (like apples).
