The one I've been eating is twice the size, but it's 60 calories. I'm confused, because the nurses at my clinic have the larger ones on display. And yeah I have a stockpile as well.. guess they'll just have to stay frozen til Maintenance :'( Comment Date: 02-20-2012 17:06 ET any idea why? I just bought a crazy large order of them Comment Date: 02-20-2012 14:54 ET Hello. I don't see any updates about this on the website but in the clinic today my nurses told me that these have been taken off the allowed food list now. The Lavash roll-ups are still permitted. So when I went on this diet and tried Joseph's bread, I tasted so many chemicals in it! For me, it has a really strong aftertaste that you don't find from natural or preservative-free breads. After trying several varieties of Joseph's (Lavash and tortilla), they all have this aftertaste and I can't bear this bread. Out of all the breads I have tried on the list, Dempster's (which still has preservatives) has less of that weird aftertaste. Is it just me or is it my organic-ized taste buds??? It's no different from the other pita bread you might have had before this diet. Maybe a TINY bit thinner, but boy o boy it's DELICIOUS!!!! Now I can have some carbs! Comment Date: 12-15-2007 20:51 ET These are great ...I want to go across the border to get some more as there was only 1 packet left when i went! Slightly smaller than the high prot. pita gourmet ones, but when you're get a whole pita for a serving you can't complain!! Comment Date: 12-07-2007 23:01 ET I enjoy these very much. Love the DrB friendly pizza's made with these. Comment Date: 12-04-2007 12:03 ET They are amazing and very filling Comment Date: 12-03-2007 13:07 ET These pitas can be found at a Super Walmart across the border. One pita is only one serving! Taste fantastic, easy to stuff, and at 60 calories it's too good to be true! My friend picked up 3 packs at Thanksgiving for me and after trying them I regret not asking for more! Comment Date: 12-01-2007 11:13 ET These are awesome. They are easiest to find in the deli at Super Wal-Mart. They last a long, long time, even if not frozen. Since availability can be hit and miss, I usually buy several bags of them and freeze all but one. They are thinner, and not as substantial as the Toufayan (another "strict legal" pita) but they have a more generous portion allocation too. I use this to put hotdogs in, tacos, chicken salad, sliced lunch meats, etc., in. They are great for any "bread" usage. Comment Date: 11-30-2007 21:50 ET
