For those of you maintainers that are using the Hood "Calorie Countdown" low carb milk as a sensible alternative to regular milk in your cereal, etc., you may have found, as I did recently, that Publix and Albertson's no longer carry it.  I haven't been using it for awhile, but want to start having milk and cereal again and sort-of panicked when I couldn't find it at Publix.

I called HP Hood today and they confirmed that they are still making it, but that Publix and Albertson's no longer carry it.  They said the 2% chocolate and 2% regular are still available at Super Wal-Mart however.  I haven't confirmed, but I know I have bought it there before.

Hope this saves you some searching/panic.

 I only use Hood's and get it a Super Walmart on a regular basis.

My wife also spotted it at SweetBay.  So that's two places where you can still get it.  I hope they don't ever stop making it.  It's the only low carb milk out there that I know of, and other than using the protein shakes instead of milk (which is not terrible, but not near as good tasting) there really isn't much of an alternative.  I guess you could try to make your own using cream and water and Splenda or something.  Hopefully I never need to try to figure that one out.
