Well I guess nobody is perfect, but man I don't know what I was thinking this weekend.  It all started on Friday afternoon... I get off early on Fridays and I was lazing around and got a craving for crackers so I thought okay I haven't had bread all week, I'll have my 24 crackers...well 24 turned into what seems like 224 and then it went down hill from there.  I had some sushi, and some other unmentionables.

Then Saturday was a family gathering with my husbands side, all Italian and a the most amazing food.  I ate more this weekend then I have in the last 5+ months and I feel GROSS.  Seriously I felt hungover on Saturday and Sunday.

Back to strict on Sunday and am down 4 of the 6lbs that showed on the scale.  It's not so much the picture the scale shows it's how I feel inside, I've cheated myself out of a potential "great" loss this week and that sucks.

I should be wearing a BIG RED "C" for cheater on my chest.

Congrats to all that did well this weekend.

It

I don't remember who first came up with this particular perspective (I'd give them credit if I did), but many say you should figure out how many weeks your splurge set your diet back.  Multiply that number by about $150.  That's how much your splurge cost in real dollars.  Then ask if it was worth it.

If I ever go off the wagon, I'm sure I'll do the same thing -- get off the wagon, douse the wagon in gasoline, light it on fire, and then shoot the ashes with a shotgun.   :D

Hey Angela, you're not alone, A few of us here have also had similar experiences.

About a month ago .. I started with pizza on Friday night and then went on to eat everything I could get my hands on until Sunday night. Monday morning I was up 5 or 6 pounds.

The important thing isn't how badly you destroy the wagon .. it's taking what's left, rebuilding and continuing on this journey.

Like any long and worthwhile trip there are going to be some ups and downs along the way. Don't let this one incident ruin the whole journey.

Thanks for the encouragement Brian & Roland, one more reason why this forum is so AWESOME, everyone on here is so supportive.

Thanks a bunch :notworthy:

The C you think should stand for "Cheater" should instead stand for "Courageous"--It takes courage to admit to everyone what happened over the weekend.  You made choices, you suffered consequences and now it is time to move on.
