I have been missing a couple months, so I just want to catch up with everyone if that's ok?

So, tell me......any new maintainers I should be dancing for?

Ada....any coffee dates planned? I have a sitter more frequently now!  :D

I'm a new member and in my first week of maintenance.  I'm like a kid in a candy store with all the new things I can have to eat!  At the same time afraid of the possible side effect, weight gain.

Hi Louise, I am new maintainer, too. Welcome back!

Welcome back Louise !!...missed you !  Best of luck on this end of your journey.

I'm still here following the progress of all the great losers in this forum and still getting a great deal of incentive from all the members !

A coffee date date sounds great.....just say when and where and I am there!....and I hope a number of others would be interested as well ! :D

I would be interested in a coffee date if possible.  It would be nice to meet other members on Dr. B.  I don't discuss this diet with anyone else so it would nice to talk to people who are going through the same thing.

So glad to hear that everyone is doing soooo amazing!!!  :D

I always tell people that this diet will change your life and to see that so many are at maintenance is AWESOME!!!

Winterjade -   ~~HAPPY DANCING FOR YOU!!~~ Learn to run, eh? You are going to love it. At first I was wondering what I was thinking and that I might have a heart attack on the street somewhere as a 202 ex-smoker but in time you will go from learning to run, to "I like to run" to "I am a runner!" After your graduation 5k race you will feel like you rule the world. You should be sooo proud of you!! I cant wait to hear all about your progress! So, what shoes did you get?

Angela & Jelena - HI! Nice to "meet" you both. So, in my time off you both lost all your weight and made it to maintenance - WOW!

I hope the new maintainers post some before/after pics!  :)

Ada - Of course you HAVE to be here!  :wink2: We all NEED you!  :;): I have a sitter more frequently now so will leave the little ones at home this time! I am going on another cruise in 2 weeks but after that I would love to.....November sometime? Mondays work for me. Let me know!

Chocolate Lab Lover - Stoney Creek? How far is that from Markham? Last time we met at the Low Carb Grocer so we could shop first and then have coffee, is that too far? Maybe we can change the location. We'll have to see how many of us there are and where we are all coming from. I know Ada is in the city and I am just south of Barrie. Well have to start another thread in the Ontario section and figure out the logistics!

Sooooo glad to be back! Only down 1.4 since Wednesday but I'll take it. 150 is my regular low weight, never been less in all my life, my body likes it here so its a fight to get lower, but all in good time, right? Drinking too much water and getting in my runs, hoping to be 145 before my trip and planning on being good while I am away. I am the maid of honor at my little sister's wedding in the Bahamas 1st week of January, so if that isn't incentive I dont know what is!  :p

HAPPY MONDAY!!!

Stoney Creek is in the Hamilton area, but I go to the Mississauga clinic because of the hours.

I would like to join :) I work in Markham, 5 km from Low Carb Grocery store so the same kind of meeting would work best for me; preferred days: Friday or Monday. Preferred time: around noon.

Hey Louise!!!! I'm in if it's a weekend and I can make the trek to T.O!!! I'm in town on the weekend of Oct 18/19...are you on your cruise then?

Ada

A weekend works for me as well.  I'm afraid during the week would not be possible for me.

Welcome back Louise !!!!   I'm game if it's on a weekend too!!!  The 18th wouldn't work for me but meeting for a coffee on the 19th would.  I'd be coming from Burlington ... maybe somewhere north Mississauga or Etobicoke would be a good central place to meet.

The 19th would be fine for me as well.

Paula

I'm in for the 19th since I'll be staying at Michelle's place and she can lead me to you....cause I know I'd get lost by myself!! We'd have to leave early enough though, to get outselves to the  MADONNA CONCERT for which we have tickets that night....WOOO HOOOOO!!!

:bounce:  :bounce:  :bounce: Resurrecting this one as I have a feeling it's been forgotten! :bounce:  :bounce:  :bounce:

We tossed around Sunday the 19th to meet for coffee (or other allowable beverage) but never confirmed anything so I'll give it a shot ....

There is a Tim Horton's/Wendy's combo store on Steeles Ave. in Brampton, just west of the 410 and just north of the 401.  Since there were people interested in meeting from Hamilton thru to Markham, I think this seems like a fairly central place to meet.  (thankfully that Kingston chick will be staying at my house or 'central' would have been a lot more difficult!)

Anyone interested in meeting there at noon, this coming Sunday???

Me too!  It is so nice to be able to meet up with people who are going through the same thing as you are!

For anyone that would like to meet up, I googled the address.  It is the Tim's at the following address:

1150 Steeles Avenue East, Brampton (for those of you who want to put into a GPS)

I wish I could make it but the next several weekends just aren't good for me. I'll watch out for the next gathering. Darn!

Actually the address of the one I was referring to is actually:

70 Biscayne CresentBramptonONL6W 4S1

It is in the area where the theatres and stuff is on Steeles, just west of the 410.  It would be the location 'I' on the map that you pulled up.

No prob Choc!  So far it looks like just you, Paula and I.  If no one else is going to join us, we will change the location anyway ... No sense us driving up there when we are all in Ham/Burl anyway.

If anyone else does plan to meet, PLEASE post so we know and don't change locations on you.

Since no other replies, we are now meeting at William's Coffee Pub at Brant & the QEW in Burlington.  It would have been great to meet others but guess it just wasn't a good day for all.  Hope everyone is having a great weekend!!!

Geez, I went missing for awhile too.  Not dead or anything, just never enough hours in a day.  I guess that's how 40 feels -- you wake up, you run around like crazy for a whole day, and before you know it, it's 1 in the morning.  I wonder if life ever slows down because it seems to be getting busier and busier as the years slip by...

Hi!  :blush2:

I can't believe I left this topic high and dry.......so sorry.

I had too much going on for awhile there, lost track of me, kwim?

Did get in another cruise though - did some really neat things that the big me would have never done, ziplining, surfing, rock climbing.....but completely overate....bad. 12 pounds in 2 weeks - OMG!!!

On a good note, I am super fit, bigger but my heart is healthy, running about 25 kilometres a week, training for my 1st half marathon on March 1st!!! I never ever tried a sport my entire life and am the farthest thing from athletic you can imagine and I am really in disbelief most days that I am a runner. So, although I could probably live with myself at a size 8 with a slight muffin top.....the runner in me wants to achieve faster times and lower weight means faster legs.

Also, I am maid of honor in my little sister's wedding on jan 9th in the Bahamas!

So, LOADS of motivation to keep me in line. I just started working on the diet again yesterday and am down overnight - LOVE it!

Not back at the clinic until Monday though, just need to get back on "board".  :wink2:

I hope you all had a fabulous coffee date and Winterjade - sooooo??? You loving it???
