Hi everyone,

Before I get disheartened by my slow loss I just wanted to know what everyone else is losing. I averaged 10lb in the last month . I have 30lbs more to lose. Is this normal? I see most people are losing 20+. Any tips to get me moving faster?? I am being strict. Is any one else averaging just 10lb??

Thanks

Ellen

It is different for each of us.  For me, it depends.  I lost more than 20 lbs my first month, but I am averaging about 14 to 16 a month.  Keep in mind I have a lot to lose and as you get closer to your target weight, your weight loss will slow down.

Everyone is so different in how much weight loss they average depending on how much weight they have to lose (the more you have to lose the more and faster it drops until you get closer to goal when it slows down), their metabolism, how strict they are, how carbs affect their ketosis levels, etc. etc.  The clinic does guarantee a minimum of 10 lbs. per month.  That happens to be what I averaged over the time I was on strict with the 1st month losing 13 lbs., the second only 8 lbs. and the 3rd 10 lbs.  This happened to be way more than any other diet had done for me on a consistent basis so I was thrilled.

Don't be discouraged.  As long as you are strict, you know that your body is losing the most it can....keep on trooping trooper !

Thanks for the support Ada and Choc,

At least I now know what to expect, I thought I was failing!

I will be at my goal in 3 months if I continue to lose at this rate so I will keep on keeping on.
