Hello Everyone.

I just wanted to say hello! I am restarting tomorrow and am nervous and excited about it! I am happy cause I know the diet works. I lost over 40 lbs. the first time around, ( not nearly close to my goal though) and gained it all back plus a little.
There are a ton of new faces on here and not many "old".... So I think I'll introduce myself a little for those of you have never seen me before or do not remember me.
My name is Sarah and I am 26 years old. I live in Calgary Alberta (and hate it...lol)
Something new about me is I am engaged now!! yay Finally I have been with my bf now Fiance for almost 9 years so its about time. I really want to loose this weight once and for all. I now have a reason too! I want to look and most importantly feel beautiful on my wedding day!

I was wondering though how many of you have or do exercise while on Drb? If you do how is your energy levels??

Welcome back Sarah.  You will take it all the way this time and you are already gorgeous so loosing the weight will only be a bonus to your health!  About working out....yes I always have although its not required to loose the pounds.  It will help with inches and toning along the way. Some report slower loses when they exercise but for me it helps me loose more consistently.  I do have lower energy levels but I always plug through it.  Your pottasium dose may be increased so tell the doc.  This helps with energy.   They also say you can have an extra protein if you really need it.  Hope that helps.

Welcome back Sarah!  I am one of the "newer" folks on the board, I have only been on the diet since June.  I do to excercise while doing Dr. B.  I do kickboxing at least 3 times a week, and yoga twice a week.  The first week was a tough haul and I had a hard time, but afterwards I have no issues with my energy levels.

Thank you everyone for your replys! I am so happy its official......... I have RESTARTED!!! Yayyyy  :bounce:

I just bought myself a Bowflex Treadclimber and love it! I am going to use it in the mornings, and then 2-3 times a week I am working with a personal trainer. I really want to ad the exercise this time around because I have found a new love for exercise and think ti helps with my overall health. I know it may slow down my loss a tiny bit, but I am willing to take that risk for my overall health and well being!

I am happy to be back on the boards as well and am ready to let the games begin Ada....... lol!

Hi Sara

Welcome! I am also one of the newish members, I joined August 30.  I have exercised since I started and not sure if it ha affected my weight loss since I have no baseline.  For me, I exercise mostly to keep my stress levels in check.  I run with the dog or visits a gym.  I also do palates a few times a week.  I decided, when I joined, to pass on weight training until I hit maintenance (my choice).

As for energy, I agree with Lab, at first it was lower but now I have noticed improved cardio endurance and I am faster, at least on my runs with the dog.  My improved cardio is probably because I am no longer lugging that extra weight.

Best of Luck (Oh I know what you mean some days I don't like Calgary very much either).
