Whilst sitting here at work bored, i just came up with an idea to make a pizza substitute.... hopefully it turns out good..thought i'd share my idea

1 or 2 piece allowed bread
tomatoe sliced
cucumber slices
jalapenos
salt and pepper to taste
ff cheese and ff ham-diced (allowed portion to equal 1 serving of protein)

On bread place total 8 oz. toms, cukes, jalapenos, ham and salt and pepper top up with cheese, bake in oven @350 till cheese melts... hope it works.

Yield: 1 protein, 1 vegetable, 1 or 2 (depending on # of slices of bread used) Bread Subs.

i make something similar to that, i use a dempster's whole wheat flatbread as my bread and it works out GREAT!!

i also use a few bick's hot rings on mine sometimes, but jalapenos are my favourite!

Hi All,  today I found the Allegro cheese at Superstore.  It doesnt seem that hard to me,  in a package cut into slices.

Can you please tell me the serving size of this cheese that would be equal to a protein.

Thx Coz

I found it at Zehrs in Windsor (was picking up something for my mom last time I was hope & just happened to think about looking) so I would assume Fortino's, Loblaws, Great Canadian Superstore should all have it too - all the same chain.  It was in the cooler section with all the natural cheese, not where the processed stuff was.

I took some inspiration from everyone's ideas for Pizza and came up with something:

1 Tortilla
1 tablespoon Philidelphia 95% fat free cream cheese
1/2 tomato - diced up
mix of mushrooms, peppers, onions, to your liking.

Spread the philidelphia on the tortilla, then add the tomatoes on and then the vegies and put in the microwave for 45 seconds or the toaster oven for 5 minutes. This is delicious!
