How are these classed on the food list - I didn't see them listed?

Under the protein section

Go to BC (Whey Protein Brands)

It lists AvantEDGE Carb Control Ready to Drink Shakes

Yes, but unless your experience is different than countless others that have sought them out, they are no longer available in Canada.

Wondering, do these actually taste good?

(thinking back to my old slim fast and herbalife days... hated the shakes)

I love 'em.  Michelle recently grabbed some from the States and thought they were awesome as well.

Bought some chocolate fudge ones last night and had one for breakfast today - was good but I prefer the vanilla.

EAS head office for Canada is in Burlington where I live - I wrote to them last week asking if they were going to bring them into Canada but have not yet rec'd a reply.  Unless someone else is going to carry them in Canada, Walmart may have a difficult time as they will need to be relabelled to import.  Only way would be if they plan on just stickering them to relabel - if so, that would be great!

I like the Vanilla, but the Chocolate Fudge is my favorite.  It has to be cold though -- warm they are pretty lackluster.

I must say I really enjoy these Whey Gourmet protein drinks. Not as convenient as the AdvantEdge since you have to prepare them yourself, but very tasty. They have many many flavours, though only a few are on the approved list the nutritional breakdown is very similar for all of them. I think I may submit one or two other flavours to see if I can get them approved.

I was at  the Low Carb Grocery on Yonge/Lawrence on Friday and I saw that they sell Myoplex bars, which are made by EAS, so I asked why they don't carry, or if they could start carrying the Ready to drink AdvantEDGE low carb shakes (the ones that Brian always drinks, that are on the allowed food list) and he said he would see what he can do.  But I was thinking if we all ask when we go in to buy stuff, or order on-line make a request, they'll see that lots of people are interested and get them in for us!

Good idea.  If you can make it worth their while to have a bunch trucked up, they may do it.  I really do love those things.

I finally got some....my (soon to be) sister-in-law headed down to Buffalo so I had her get me two cases (48 in total).  I have to say they are pretty good.....not amazing but decent.

I also got some of the Kraft Parmesan Cheese - man it's good....I miss cheese.  I'd honestly pay $50 for it if that was the price!! :D

Really?  Your lucky - I contacted EAS Canada and they said this line was discontinued in Canada.  If you do buy them I'd verify they are in fact the right type since they have several similar lines.

Hey Nick,

I know what you mean bout the Kraft Parmesan Cheese.  I Love Love Love it.  I put the ICBINB spray and them sprinkle cheese on the Josephs Pita that I also got the States and yummy!

The shakes have grown on me alot - and when I compare the nutritional value on the back to a protein bar (which I normally have daily) they have half the calories and way less carbs.  I think I'm going to stick to these in the future.

My mistake. The protein drinks at the diabetic station are called Avantage not AdvantEdge, so they do not have them!

Sorry for getting any hopes up!
