Hi Everyone,

Been on the program for about 2.5 months now and I am really pleased with the results.  I am hoping to get some insights on what people are doing to mix up their salads to make them interesting and still on the program.

Thanks Corinne

I enjoy salads with hot peppers, or hot sauce on them. Also mix some lemon juice, mustard, garlic, soy sauce and pepper for a dressing. Yummy! Or put some different veggies in, green beans are good. Enjoy!

I sometimes put some frozen strawberries on my salad (I make it in the am & take to work so they are thawed by lunch time) and then make the orange salad dressing in Dr.B's recipe book - it's good.

Now that I've got a good assortment of Walden dressings, I find I can mix it up quite a bit so I am not sick of salad.  My favorite is the Asian dressing !!!

When I tire of salads I switch to hot veggies like the mashed fauxtatos or I steam broccolini & green beans, I also really like bean sprouts.

Thank you all so much!  I will try some of these suggestions right away!

Have a great day!  Corinne

Hi Corrine ... I use Jane's chicken, that I've sauteed in garlic, in my salads.  The dressing I like the most in the list is Kraft Calorie Wise Vinaigrette dressing and top it all off with sesame seeds.  It's not too bad at all.

Walden Farms makes salads great.....even my fiance (who's not on the diet) has started using them because they are so good.

We're allowed sesame seeds?  I would think they'd be to oily. I have a great recipe for seared tuna using sesame seeds if we do.  I can even Bernify it.

They aren't in the food list, but the are in a recipe in the recipe book, so presumably they are allowed -- at least in small quantities.

I checked with my clinic's doctor, and thee are allowed.  As Brian mentioned, they are included in one of Dr. B's recipes :)  Thank goodness, 'cause the toasted sesames really add flavour to my salads and chicken.
